Here at Journeymen, we offer a wide range of activities for teen boys that cater to the unique needs of each participant.
Throughout Journeymen’s programs, our philosophy, and our non-therapeutic approach remains consistent:
We do not try to fix boys or give shoulds or should nots and we don’t give advice unless we’re asked.
For a more detailed description of our approach to working with teen boys, check out our programs below or go to our about us page.
Council Groups are at the foundation of how Journeymen serves teen boys. Through Council Groups, we ally with the development of the young men and boys whom we serve.
Outdoor recreation, skill-building workshops, volunteer-based service learning, and rites of passage weekends.
Intentional rites of passage have played an important role in many cultures for thousands of years, as a way to safely challenge young men and boys to consciously explore the men they wish to be.
These experiences can be incredibly empowering for our mentees as they transition into adulthood, making them one of the most important parts of our program.
