Robert is a retired math teacher and healthcare IT professional. He and his wife Jane transplanted to the North Carolina mountains 30 years ago, and although they enjoy traveling, they’re happy to call this place home.

For more than 10 years, Robert has been working with rites of passage and mentoring programs for young men. His passion for hiking, backpacking, and just being outdoors has been tempered by the reality of not being as young as he once was but embellished by the lessons he’s learned and the beauty he’s experienced.

Robert carries the roles of son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and godfather with him in every step of his life’s journey.
